Molotov in GTA 6

Confirmed · The Extended Look (August 2026)Checked October 25, 2026 by Lorenzo Bruno

The Molotov is a throwable that Rockstar shows in An Extended Look, its August 2026 gameplay video. At 16:00 Lucia stands in a parking garage with a bottle stuffed with a rag, the HUD shows a bottle icon with a count of 1, and five seconds later the car beside her is on fire.

In GTA 6

The name is not written on screen: Molotov is GTABase's name for this weapon, which it first listed from the September 2022 leak. GTABase also lists a separate Fire Bottle from that leak; the Extended Look does not tell the two apart.

GTABase says it cannot be customized. The name has changed over the series: Molotov Cocktail in GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas and IV, Molotov in GTA V, and Fire Bottle in Red Dead 2.
